Hi ya!
Have you ever browsed the Google Product Forum (GPF) looking for help on an issue and came across a disturbing post where the person is being really rude?
Wish you could report that post?
Well, you can! This blog will show you how!
How to report a post for abuse
If the post doesn't match the Google Product Forum posting guidelines, then you can report it for abuse.
Here’s how:
- Find the post that you’re going to be reporting abuse on.
- Click “Report abuse.”
- Depending on the type of post, you should choose the selection box accordingly:
Is the post a hateful post? Sharing private information? - After you’ve chosen the correct box selection, click “Submit report.”
- And that’s it!
Please note that sometimes you'll be asked to fill a CAPTCHA before being able to submit a report.
You will always be asked to fill a CAPTCHA if you're not signed into your Google account.
So, yeah. That’s how you report an abusive post.
To Summarize:
- Find the post that you’re going to be reporting abuse on.
- On the right side, next to the reply button, click the drop down arrow box.
- Click “Report abuse.”
- A popup will appear.
- Choose one of the five boxes depending on the type of post.
- Click “Submit report.”
