You visit the Google Product forum (GPF) to get whatever question you have resolved. Another person comes along and answers your question!
If you want whoever else that reads the thread to know the solution to the issue that was solved, then what you can do is mark the post that solved the question as Best Answer.
How to mark a post as Best Answer
It’s actually quite simple.
All you have to do is hit the Mark as Best Answer button under the reply that solved the issue.
Example:
And that is how you mark a post as Best Answer!
To Summarize:
- Under the post that best answers your question, mark it as Best Answer.
