Have you ever accidentally hit the wrong key on your Chromebook and did something you didn’t mean to?
Because I have. And I know most people probably have even though they may not admit it.
Let’s say you accidentally hit a key on your Chromebook, and suddenly, when you start typing something in, the computer is speaking what you’re typing!
You have unintentionally (unless you meant to do it) enabled Chromevox.

Let’s get to business!
How to enable or disable Chromevox
There are two ways to enable or disable Chromevox that I know of.
- The easiest way is to press the keys Ctrl + Alt + Z to enable it, and press the same keys again to disable it.
- Or, you could go to settings and mess with it some.
Type chrome://settings in the omnibox. Go to the bottom of that page, click Show Advanced Settings.
Find Accessibility and if Chromevox is checked, then that means it’s enabled. If it’s unchecked, then that means it’s disabled.
You can do what you want to. If you like it, then leave it checked. And if you hate it, then make sure it’s unchecked.
And, yeah. That is how you enable or disable Chromevox.
To Summarize:
