#21 Chromebook - Common Questions Part 2!

Hi ya!

It’s been awhile since I last posted a blog about Chromebook questions (to see the other one, click here).

Now, let’s get into things!

• Can I have Skype on my Chromebook?

Technically, you can (instructions on how to do that are here) but, I don’t think you’re meant to.

Google even posted a help article talking about it (the article can be found here).

Personally, I’d say “Why do you need Skype on your Chromebook?” If you need it for business and can’t get around it, then a Chromebook is probably not for you.

But if you’re wanting to use it for personal use, then you can use Google Hangouts for that.

• Caps Lock

If you’re used to Windows and having a caps lock, then you may not like the keyboard layout on your Chromebook.

However, you can change your keyboard layout if you choose to.

Here's how:

1. Type in the omnibox: chrome://settings-frame/keyboard-overlay
2. And you can change the search key to caps lock if you like!
3. After you changed it to what you want, click “OK.”
4. And that is it!

If you would like to learn more about your Chromebook, then you can!

Push the keys: ctrl + / and that’ll bring up a popup entitled “Get Help.”

Or you could click the nine square button thing at the bottom left of your Chromebook (it’s called the App Launcher) and search for “Get Help.”
